Clinical trials are studies performed on human beings. Conducting trials in humans and applying the results on large populations requires specific methods. The participation of humans in research presents not only technical problems but also ethical issues, some of which are discussed in this course.

The benefit of collaboration between Patient Organisations and scientific stakeholders in the design and conduct of clinical studies is well established. In order to allow an early and in-depth collaboration, using the same vocabulary and concepts is highly important.

The aim of this course is to familiarise yourself with the words and the main questions of the ethical aspects of clinical studies.

To complete this course, you need to read through the lesson below. At the end of the course, once you have taken the final quiz, you will be able to download and print your certificate of completion.
